Recipes | Wintertime Dinner | Warm Wintertime Dinner | French Seafood Bisque
This is a swell dinner that is warm, comforting too filled amongst swell flavor. Saffron too white vino hand the soup that particular deport on that turns Tuesday nighttime dinner into something special.
French Seafood Bisque
serves 6
i pound of shrimp, peeled
i pound of bay scallops
half-dozen tablespoons of butter
i loving cup of yellowish onion, diced
i leek, white too lite light-green parts, diced
ii carrots, diced
i loving cup of mushrooms, sliced
iii cloves of garlic
four saffron threads (optional)
bounding main salt
dark pepper
2 cups of white wine
2 cups of chicken stock
four whole tomatoes (from i can), chopped
i 1/2 loving cup of heavy cream
i teaspoon of fresh chives, chopped
In a saute pan, gear upwardly the shrimp too scollops inward iii tablespoons of butter, laid aside. In a soup pot, melt the residue of the butter too gear upwardly onion, leek, carrots, garlic, saffron, too mushrooms. Cook for 10 minutes until soft. Add white wine, chicken stock, common salt too pepper. Cook at a simmer for 10 minutes. Add tomatoes too cream. Cook for five to a greater extent than minutes, too therefore add together shrimp too scallops. Served hot garnished amongst chives.
