Emma's 1St Birthday Invitation | Diy Extra Thick Photograph Invitation
Emma's 1st Birthday is only a duad of weeks away. In a way, I can't believe she is going to last one, but too therefore again, it feels similar we've been parents for v years already! It does seem similar a lifetime away when nosotros headed to the Emerson Hospital inwards Concord...
Dec birthdays are tricky. Mike's birthday is the seventh too when he was younger his Mom ever made certain that they celebrated his birthday earlier they decorated for Christmas - to brand certain they didn't duad upwards the holidays. No birthday photos inwards front end of the tree.
I experience similar the 15th of Dec is a piddling besides tardily to hold off to decorate, therefore I am attempting to pattern her political party amongst a 'winter wonderlandy, creamy, dreamy, candylandy" sorty of feel. I wasn't certain how I was going to range it, until I came across my source of inspiration...
Thanks to Paper-Source! When I walked inwards the store, I idea this newspaper (that I used to business the opal shimmer envelopes) was the perfect inspiration for the party.
Cute pink, cherry too greenish vacation cookies that await girly too feminine, without beingness besides over the overstep "Christmas."
When looking at the pinholepress.com site for vacation cards, I noticed their extra thick side-striped cards. I alone needed fifteen invitations, therefore I couldn't justify ordering them... so, I figured out how to brand them. Of course.
The photograph doesn't quite produce it justice, every bit my lens couldn't focus inwards enough, but every bit yous tin post away meet (sort of), the bill of fare is triple thick amongst a layer of pinkish cardstock sandwiched betwixt 2 cream cards. It is all glued together, too therefore cutting to let out the edging.
Here is the process!
I printed a front end too dorsum on the same cream canvas of cardstock.
I cutting out each photo, leaving a piddling edge.
Then ran the cards through my xyron sticker machine (also from Paper-Source).
I placed the front end sticker on a canvas of pinkish cardstock...
Then the dorsum sticker on the back, matching them up. Then I cutting out the entire card.
Stay tuned for to a greater extent than political party details!
Here is the easy-to-pin strip!
