Travel | Aspen | Our Engagement
Two weeks ago, Mike together with I took a ski opor-garai to Aspen, Co. where he proposed!We had the most wonderful trip - I honey Aspen because non solely does it lead keep picturesque skiing, it is a fantastic town amongst amazing restaurants, cafes, shopping together with fun nighttime life, equally well. The entire hamlet is located at the base of operations of Aspen Mountain - y'all tin lav ski correct into town for dejeuner or an apres ski drink.
ABOVE : this is our showtime twenty-four hours skiing later on our dejeuner at Cloud ix Bistro. The eatery is located 100 yards off of the Cloud ix elevator on the Aspen Highlands Mountain - my favorite mountain... it is a private, luxurious feeling mount without crowds together with long lines.
DAY ONE :
On our showtime twenty-four hours skiing, nosotros skied Aspen Highlands. Here I am inwards front end of "Apple Strudel" my favorite run... banknote the 'easiest' designation.
The showtime twenty-four hours was our locomote twenty-four hours - nosotros flew direct into Aspen, together with then settled inwards to our hotel, The Grand Hyatt Residences.

The showtime day, nosotros had dejeuner at the Ajax Tavern at The Little Nell. It was delicious - truffle fries together with love apple tree bisque!

For dinner, nosotros went to the Brexi Brasserie - a fabulous lilliputian spot. At restaurants, instead of sticking amongst the typical salad together with then entree routine, I similar to companionship several minor courses to hold out shared. At the Brexi, nosotros started amongst crab legs, together with then nosotros shared a warm caprine animal cheese together with beet salad, together with then steamed mussels inwards a saffron broth. I'm all the same daydreaming close it today...
ABOVE : Lunch at Cloud 9 - such a prissy process to hold out 12,000 feet upward having a white tablecloth dejeuner past times the fire. We started amongst a seafood together with Irish Gaelic patato chowder, then...
I had a pan fried bass amongst homemade dumplings together with caper berries. We ended the repast amongst the most spectacular hot chocolate.
After skiing, nosotros hitting the hot tub at our hotel.
That evening, Mike surprised me amongst a horse-drawn sleigh ride thru trails on the dorsum side of Aspen Mountain, where he proposed : ) Unfortunately, I solely had my iphone photographic television set camera amongst me, thence nosotros didn't lead keep a flash for a amend photograph - this was taken past times the lite of the sleigh!
ABOVE : Chocolate covered strawberries together with champagne to congratulate us on the appointment from Mike's parents.
