A Romantic Date Night in Las Vegas...SW Steakhouse at Wynn and Cirque du Soleil's Beatles LOVE!

During our recent culinary adventure to Las Vegas, we enjoyed an especially wonderful date night We had dinner reservations at SW Steakhouse at The Wynn before going to see Cirque du Soleil’s amazing Beatles LOVE show. We arrived at SW Steakhouse and were warmly greeted by the restaurant's General Manager. He seated us at a lovely table directly beside the Lake of Dreams so we’d have perfect views of the light and music show that happens every 30 minutes. What happened next was a meal that was so over-the-top excellent in every way that it earned a solo spotlight for this month’s Dines Out feature. We sampled some signature items from their extensive menu, everything from appetizers to steak and seafood entrees…to some amazing desserts. Here's a quick sneak peek to whet your appetite!
A sampler of entrees and side dishes at SW Steakhouse. From the top:
Seared Scallop with Pea Risotto, Fried Asparagus, Kobe Beef (!), Aged
New York Strip, Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese, Au Gratin Potatoes,
and a bit of Creamed Spinach in the middle. What a meal!

After this amazing dinner, we snapped a few pictures of The Wynn’s magical Fall-themed decor, then we headed to Mirage to see The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil. We’re both huge Beatles fans, so we loved every single second of this highly entertaining show. Simply put: if you’re a Beatles fan, this celebration of the Beatles music is a MUST for any trip to Las Vegas! The colorful stage décor, talented performers, and the music combine to make a fabulous experience! The show's re-imagined soundtrack was remastered by Beatles producer Sir George Martin and his son. Michael managed to meet Mr. Martin in the show's adjacent gift shop before the show -- talk about the thrill of a lifetime for a Beatles fan! The LOVE theater was built specifically for the show, so the acoustics and sound quality are perfect. Every seat in the theater offers a unique view of the stage -- it's small enough to be quite intimate. Hint: for a special treat during one of the numbers, try to sit in the first 10-15 rows! The talented performers are fabulous, bringing to life many of the characters first introduced in Beatles songs -- including Sgt. Pepper, Eleanor Rigby, and The Walrus. To quote the Beatles, “a splendid time is guaranteed for all!”

After the show was over, we spent some time shopping for souvenirs in the large, well-stocked gift shop located just outside the theater. To end the evening, Michael and I decided to act a little silly and pose for a fun picture outside the gift shop to remember our fun evening!
It was well after midnight by the time we visited the large LOVE gift shop and snapped a few pictures. We headed back to our sweet suite at Vdara to relax and enjoy the nighttime views before we called it a night. We ended our evening admiring the colorful lights of the Strip and lovely views of the Bellagio Fountains! If you find yourself in Las Vegas, we highly recommend that you and your sweetheart enjoy a delicious dinner at The Wynn's SW Steakhouse, followed by Cirque du Soleil's Beatles LOVE show at Mirage. I guarantee you'll have some amazing memories to take back home with you!

Disclosure: SW Steakhouse provided us with a complimentary dinner to facilitate their inclusion in this feature. Cirque du Soleil also provided us with tickets for the show.
