Review and Giveaway: 240sweet Gourmet Marshmallows!

One of my very favorite things about being a food writer is finding amazing artisan gourmet products and sharing them with you. Today, have I got a doozy to share with you: 240sweet gourmet marshmallows! These amazing gourmet marshmallows are created by Chef Alexa Lemley in Columbus, Indiana. 240sweet offers hand-crafted marshmallows in a huge variety of gourmet flavors...including Maple and Brown Sugar, Lavender Lemonade and Peanut Butter & Bacon. They offer a featured marshmallow each month and a fabulous three-pack themed Marshmallow of the Month Club package. They recently sent me the September Marshmallow of the Month Sampler to try out and share my thoughts with you.

My sampler included New Fangled Confection Crunch, Cinnamon Graham and Salty Caramel Twist (their most popular marshmallow flavor). I couldn't wait to open the packages to give them a try! One thing I immediately noticed was how fluffy and soft a hand-made marshmallow is compared to a store-bought packaged marshmallow. Night and day difference in both flavor and texture! I cut the New Fangled Confection Crunch into quarters and served them to guests, who raved about their sweet-spicy flavor profile. I have to admit that I loved the Salty Caramel Twist so much that I refused to share and kept them for myself. This one contains ribbons of handmade caramel and Maldon sea salt swirled in a Very Vanilla Bean marshmallow, and it's downright addictive!

I used the Cinnamon Graham as a topping for my recently featured Pumpkin Pie Latte. Its cinnamon and graham topping worked perfectly with the pumpkin-flavored coffee...and the caramel syrup on top! The heat of the latte caused the marshmallow to melt slightly, making it melty and soft. It was a decadent way to start off a lazy weekend morning, and the 240sweet Cinnamon Graham marshmallow really took the pie flavor profile over the top. Every flavor in my marshmallow variety pack was fabulous. I love these marshmallows and can't wait to order more flavors to give for Christmas presents this year! Guess what?!?!?
