MyBlogSpark Giveaway: Fiber One 90-Calorie Brownie Gift Pack...
It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly a week since we returned home from a fantastic vacation in Chicago...one that was chock-full of yummy food splurges. Despite walking all over the city, I came home a couple of pounds heavier than I left. I’ve decided that I need to cut back a little here and there over the next few weeks and up my activity level a bit so I can get back to where I was before the Great Chicago Foodie Adventure. Nothing drastic, just being a bit more mindful of what goes into my mouth. For me, one of the toughest parts of keeping my weight down is steering clear of too many sweet goodies!
Luckily, I was recently introduced to a new product from Fiber One® that lets me enjoy having a treat without feeling guilty. Rather than focusing on what I shouldn’t be eating, Fiber One®’s new 90-Calorie Brownies let me enjoy something fudgy and delish. These brownies are moist, chewy treats that help me stay on track with a balanced diet. With 5 grams of fiber in each brownie -- that’s 20 percent of the recommended daily value of fiber -- these new brownies are a great little indulgence! I find that the fiber helps keep me satisfied longer.
General Mills recently sent me a gift pack through MyBlogSpark so I could sample these new brownies. They come in two flavors: Chocolate Fudge brownies have chocolate-flavored chips and are topped with a dark chocolate-flavored drizzle, and Chocolate Peanut Butter brownies have peanut butter chips and are topped with a peanut butter drizzle. I like to have one when I get home from work in the afternoon -- with a big glass of ice water. This helps tide me over until Michael gets home from work and we can have dinner together. Both flavors taste great, but my favorite is the Chocolate Fudge’s one-two punch of chocolate. What can I say? I’m a chocolate purist…
My gift pack came with one box each of the Chocolate Fudge and the Chocolate Peanut Butter brownies...along with a super-cute Fiber One 90-Calorie Brownie logo duffel bag, jump rope, water bottle, coldpack snack case, headband, and bracelet. These a things that I really need post-vacation to trim a few pounds -- healthy snacks and items that encourage me to get some extra activity. MyBlogSpark has offered to give one of YOU one of these awesome prize packs as well! To enter, leave me a comment below telling me which of these two brownie flavors you’re most eager to try -- and don’t forget to include your e-mail address so I can find you if you're the winner! Entries will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. this Friday, and the winner will be announced on Saturday.
Be sure to come back here on Thursday for my first Daring Cooks Challenge post. I joined this fun group of food bloggers last month, just in time to take part in this month’s homemade pasta challenge. I’m trying my hand at making German spaetzel tonight. That’s definitely out of my comfort zone, but I’m trusting Dorie Greenspan’s recipe to steer me in the right direction. Come check out the results...and find out whether I end up covered in spaetzel dough/batter...on Thursday! Until then…happy eating, friends!
