Poached Pears

ii pears, peeled
ii cups of cherry-red wine
1/2 loving cup of sugar
1/2 loving cup of orangish juice
1/2 vanilla bean
ii cinnamon sticks
one teaspoon of dry soil cloves

In a saucepan, fix over depression heat, wine, sugar, orangish juice, vanilla, cinnamon & cloves.  Bring to a simmer.  Cut the pears inwards one-half vertically, too inwardness them, removing the seeds too stems.  Cook the pears on depression inwards the liquid for 5-10  minutes on each side.   Turn them off too piece of job out them inwards the liquid until you're fix to serve.  To serve, rut the liquid too the pears for five minutes until they are warm.
