Gingerbread Household Cookies | Decorating Tips | Restocked!

In this post, I'll walk y'all through how I decorated these, but the possibilities are endless.  We excogitation to convey them for Emma's birthday for the girls to decorate, but volition brand them out of saccharide cookie dough too convey pinkish too sparkly glitters to role equally decorations.  

Gingerbread Cookie Recipe

2 cups flour 
2 teaspoons set down ginger
1 teaspoon set down cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon set down nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon set down cloves
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 loving cup butter, room temperature
1/3 loving cup dark-brown sugar
1/3 loving cup molasses
1 large egg

Combine dry out ingredients.  In a mixer, cream together butter, dark-brown saccharide too molasses.  When creamy, add together egg.  Slowly stir inwards dry out ingredients.  Chill dough for twenty minutes. 

Roll out the dough, cutting shapes.

Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes on a parchment lined baking sheet, until browned too firm.

For decorating, I used white tiny ball sprinkles, crushed candy canes, snowfall caps, rosemary sprigs, carmine hots (cut inwards half) too raspberry gumdrops.

I used imperial icing equally my 'glue.'



I cutting the snowcaps inwards one-half too used them to thatch the roof.

For other roofs, I used imperial icing, too then position sprinkles on to act equally snow.

This theatre has a "cranberry" wreath too a rosemary bough over the forepart door.

I cutting a spell of the raspberry gum drop, too then cutting a hole amongst a straw.

I trimmed off the rosemary until it looked similar e'er green.

The trees got a dusting of snow, too.
