A Barefoot Contessa Dinner Political Party | Final Night's Dinner...

I'm all the same on a high from final night's dinner political party - the nutrient was soooo good.  I tin tell that without seeming total of myself because I didn't prepare everything, together with I didn't write the recipes.  Even my friends said they were shocked when I asked if they idea it would hold out fun for everyone to contribute to the dinner - unremarkably I similar to brand everything together with hence I bring consummate command over the dinner.  But, it was truly fun for everyone to become far on the fun of making their favorite recipe from Foolproof.

After chatting alongside my friends almost the menu, nosotros made a brace of revisions to the master copy selections I had posted before this calendar week based on their recommendations.  Katie's favorite from the mass is the Orange-Braised Carrots together with Parsnips, together with hence nosotros decided to add together that to the menu.  And, nosotros bring a important friend together with hence instead of the Chocolate Cassis Cake I opted to brand the Barefoot classic, Chocolate Ganache Cake (from Parties, my all-time favorite Barefoot Contessa book, equally I was quoted inward this article).  I had truly never made the recipe before together with I knew it would correct upward Mike's alley. 



Everything was absolutely amazing - together with the carte was a slap-up combination.  I highly recommend it.

Our Barefoot Contessa Foolproof Menu :

Sidecars (cocktail)
Parmesan Crisps
Caramelized Bacon
Slow-Roasted Beef Tenderloin (I can't instruct enough...)
Balsamic-Roased Brussels Sprouts
Orange-Braised Carrots together with Parsnips
Chocolate Ganache Cake alongside Whipped Cream

We started the black alongside a platter of nibbles that packed a punch, but were low-cal plenty non to ruin our appetites, and... cocktails.

We are typically such a vino crowd that I was hesitant to serve a cocktail, but it was such a festive addition.  It truly started the black off alongside a to a greater extent than celebratory feel.  I altered Ina's recipe for a classic Sidecar past times adding simply about Blood Orange sparkling European soda.  I loved the bitterness the blood orangish added, together with it made it a niggling to a greater extent than particular (without cognac, of course) for my important friend. 











The Parmesan Crisps were the easiest affair I've always made - ever.  You literally grate cheese, add together seasoning together with bake them for 8 minutes.  They are the perfect affair to serve alongside drinks - crispy, salty together with light.

I experience similar I don't fifty-fifty demand to write anything almost this - Caramelized Bacon says it all!



Katie's Orange-Braised Carrots together with Parsnips.  These were out of this world!  They don't gustatory modality similar typical glazed or roasted carrots - it is almost similar they educate a flavor all their own.  I can't await to brand them myself.

Dinner is served - real Ina, serving it all on i platter.  The Slow-Roasted Beef Tenderloin was perfect.  For our six guests, I had the butcher cutting a three pound department from the whole tenderloin.  This is my 3rd fourth dimension preparing the beef this agency - Christmas, New Years Eve together with right away this political party - each fourth dimension it is perfect.

The consummate plate - all of the vegetables were together with hence overnice alongside the beef.  It was a decadent dinner without beingness also heavy.

For dessert, I made Ina's Chocolate Ganache Cake from her book, Parties.  In that mass she called this a "foolproof" recipe that was a staple at her store, The Barefoot Contessa.  It was amazing.  It powerfulness hold out my novel favorite go-to dessert.
