Weekend Trip Abode For A Babe Shower

Last weekend nosotros headed dorsum habitation for a babe shower.  As you lot tin tell, the bump is progressing!  I'm pretty much living inwards Gap Maternity T's these days... too stretch pants.  It was a special weekend, too then I position on a twain of jeans!  Seriously, when you lot function from home, wearing jeans (and makeup...) seems similar a big deal!

Aren't all trouble solid unit of measurement weekends around food?  I felt no guilt because it was our "Thanksgiving" since we'll endure unable to move for Thanksgiving this year. 
 

My mom had a total house.  My brother, his girlfriend, Claire, my sister, Jill, her hubby too their daughter, Samantha, were all at my parents trouble solid for the weekend.  The terminal fourth dimension nosotros were all together was inwards Martha's Vineyard inwards June.

The babe shower at my Aunt Nancy's trouble solid was bang-up - too then many presents, cupcakes too flowers!

My mom too sis position together the favors (above) inwards the boxes.  Isn't that a cute idea?  Inside each box was a chocolate plane nest alongside pinkish M&M's.

My Aunt Phyllis did the flowers - I honey how her arrangements await natural too garden-like.  She has a bang-up pattern sense.  We used to 'help' her alongside weddings when nosotros were younger - nosotros were inwards accuse of tying the bows... which I'm certain she re-tied later.

Isn't this Diaper Wreath amazing?  My friend Leah created it.  The "bow" is the softest swaddle blanket.

Hydrangea Cupcakes alongside "Aunt Joanie" icing.  Her icing has a cloak-and-dagger ingredient... vodka!  My Aunt used to decorate marriage cakes - nosotros also loved to larn over to trouble solid too 'help' her decorate cakes.  I'm certain nosotros were bang-up at licking the bowls!

Sam had to undress for the pre-party cupcake I gave her (what are aunts for?).  She has a major sweetness molar - remember her outset birthday party?!

After the shower, nosotros got out Jill's batons from high schoolhouse to demo Sam.  I know...  but, hey, nosotros grew upward inwards a modest town.  You should've seen her 'outfit' - basically a sequins swimming suit.

During these moments alongside the girls inwards the front end yard are unremarkably when my mom forces me to practice a dorsum walk-over spell she 'spots' me.  Thank goodness for the pregnancy go yesteryear this year.  Instead nosotros made Jill practice a cartwheel too cheerleading jumps... Sam was thoroughly impressed yesteryear her Mom.
