East Hampton Weekend : Barefoot Contessa Sighting & Martha Stewart's Home

We had dinner too drinks at The 1770 House. The parlor was too thus handsome too cozy... For dinner, nosotros were seated inwards "The Tavern" of the eating theater - the basement of the antique household was dark, cozy, too candlelit - non stuffy at all.

This is Ina Garten's (The Barefoot Contessa) favorite spots... she had this signed re-create inwards the parlor - she's used a couplet of her favorite recipes from the eating theater (1770 House) inwards her majority (ex. meatloaf).

To our absolute thrill too shock, nosotros were seated at the side past times side tabular array over from hers! We didn't desire to interrupt her dinner amongst Jeffrey too her friends (two other couples), too thus nosotros abstained from taking whatsoever photos or maxim 'hi' - even-though it nearly killed me! This is Martha Stewart's East Hampton domicile she calls "Lily Pond" because it is located on famous Lily Pond Lane - i of the close elite addresses inwards East Hampton.

I knew it was hers because of the "Martha" blue/green gates too trim. I dear it.

This is Lily Pond Lane - the trees are stunning, fifty-fifty without leaves. I can't aspect to catch inwards the Summer to run into everything inwards bloom!
