Penne Alla Vodka Sauce | The Barefoot Contessa Projection Continues...

 I've been saving this one.  Immediately, I knew it would endure a favorite.  And it is.  Of course, I dearest whatsoever together with every sort of pasta... peculiarly alongside a love apple tree cream sauce.  I'm non certain why, but it seems that "Vodka Sauce" is actually only love apple tree cream sauce.  I'm non certain precisely what the Vodka adds, but together with thence the recipe goes.

I made slight revisions (of course, because y'all know I can't only produce what I'm told...) :

- I did non puree the sauce.  I actually similar the texture of the hand-crushed tomatoes
- I did non operate fresh oregano because I didn't bring fourth dimension to larn the "good grocery store" to larn it.  So,  I only used dried equally directed.
- I solely cooked the sauce inwards the oven for 1 hour, vs. the 1 hr 45 minutes, equally directed.  We were hungry!

This recipe is together with thence delicious - rattling similar (but simpler) to my Fra Diavolo in taste, but unlike inwards preparation.
