1770 Household Meatloaf & Light-Green Beans Gremolata | The Barefoot Contessa Project

Well, I'm dorsum inwards business.  After trying to "clean up" my figurer inwards an endeavor to hold upward to a greater extent than organized this year, I genuinely accidentally deleted all of the photos on my figurer that I've e'er taken inwards my entire life.  Oops.   I possess got spent the concluding yoke of days recovering files... I'm dorsum as well as I'm happy to tell that I scream upward I possess got most of what I withdraw back!  Sorry for leaving you lot high as well as dry out for the concluding yoke of days!  Now, let's conk dorsum to it - I possess got the perfect house to start.

Meatloaf.  Mike has a novel favorite dinner... which is huge.  He LOVED this meatloaf.  He is a swell guess on the authenticity, because he genuinely had the master copy at 1770 House inwards East Hampton when nosotros were in that place concluding yr (and seated yesteryear Ina Garten herself - I scream upward I've mentioned that a fourth dimension or two...)

Luckily, Ina has position the entire recipe for this meatloaf on her site, BarefootContessa.com.

From the recipe, that calls for three pounds of meat, I made 2 loafs instead of 1 large one.  I used 2 pounds of beef as well as 1 pound of soil pork, because my grocery shop does non demeanor soil veal, per the recipe.  It turned out merely fine.

The garlic sauce was genuinely special - Mike when peculiarly crazy for it.  It basically consists of cooking the garlic inwards stone oil for 10 minutes, thus cooking it alongside chicken stock for thirty minutes, thus mashing the garlic into the condensed stock... alongside a petty butter.

I served it alongside Mashed Potatoes (here is my recipe, The BEST Mashed Potatoes!) as well as Green Beans Gremolata from The Barefoot's Foolproof

I LOVED this recipe.  It has parmesan cheese, garlic as well as lemon zest - a genuinely dainty means to ready greenish beans.

Another swell repast from The Barefoot Contessa!
