Review and Giveaway: Hamilton Beach® WaveAction® Blender...Featuring Skinny Berry Cheesecake Smoothie #HamiltonBeachBlenders #spon #giveaway

A good blender is an indispensable kitchen tool, so it is really important to have one that can handle all of your blending needs! Today I’m sharing a great new blender I’ve been using in my kitchen: Hamilton Beach®' great new Wave Action® Blender. This blender easily makes delicious smoothies or shakes, but it’s great for making soups, sauces, and salsa too. So, what is it that makes the Hamilton Beach® Wave Action® different? Ordinary blenders simply spin the contents around the walls of the jar, which can leave you with whole chunks of ingredients -- or even ice -- untouched by the blades. Not Hamilton Beach®’s Wave Action® System, though! This blender has a ton of great benefits:
  • Wave Action® system pulls mixture into the blades for smoother results
  • No-drip lid spout makes pouring easy
  • 48-oz. dishwasher safe glass jar
  • Ideal for making smoothies, shakes, and icy drinks
  • 700-watt peak power motor
  • A 3-year limited warranty
  • Stirring wand included for mixing thicker foods & mixtures
I used my Wave Action® blender to whip up a Skinny Berry Cheesecake Smoothie for Michael and I to enjoy on a hot Texas evening. These smoothies are rich and thick, with fewer calories and nearly zero grams of fat! All you need are a few simple ingredients -- including sugar-free cheesecake pudding mix -- to make a thick, delicious smoothie that’s bursting with berry flavor. This one’s a real winner if you’re trying to eat lighter but don't want to sacrifice flavor!

Skinny Berry Cheesecake Smoothie
a Weekend Gourmet Original
Ingredients (makes 2-3 smoothies):
  • 3 cups skim milk
  • 1.5 cups frozen organic berries [I used a combination of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries]
  • 1 four-serving package sugar-free cheesecake pudding
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers
Directions:
Step 1: Add the skim milk, vanilla extract, and pudding mix to the blender jar. Blend on high for about 15 seconds, until the pudding is completely dissolved into the milk. Add the frozen berries to the blender and blend on high, until the fruit is completely incorporated.
Step 2: Pour the smoothie into 2-3 glasses. Top with some of the crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers on top. You can also garnish with some fresh berries, if desired.

That’s it…such a simple way to stay cool on a hot Summer day! The Hamilton Beach® Wave Action® blender easily incorporated the frozen berries into the smoothies, with no pieces of frozen fruit – just a smooth, creamy drink! The pudding provides such a rich texture that it’s hard to believe this smoothie contains only a trace of fat from the garnish! The berries provide gorgeous color and a sweet-tart punch of flavor. This one’s a keeper, and it can be easily adapted to use whatever fruit you have on hand…have fun and be creative!
