Chipotle Mexican Grill's June EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES Campaign
I recently became a blog ambassador for Chipotle Mexican Grill, which I'm very excited about. I've always been a fan of Chipotle's delicious, freshly prepared Mexican food. In fact, it's my favorite fast-casual restaurant! Today, I want to tell you about Chipotle's June partnership with the (RED) campaign to support the fight against AIDS. Through next Tuesday, Chipotle is offering a limited-edition (RED) gift card, which is available both in restaurants and online. Chipotle will donate 5% of of the sales of every (RED) gift card of $25 or more to the Global Fund to fight AIDS -- up to $100,000. With your limited-edition (RED) gift card, you can purchase signature Chipotle menu items like their huge made-to-order burritos. Maybe you'll decide to try my favorite meal instead: a trio of soft corn tacos with a side of Chipotle's fresh, delicious house-made guacamole!
(RED) partners with iconic brands and influencers to raise money and awareness, supporting the critical work of the Global Fund to fight AIDS. EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES began in 2014 and enlisted more than 500 participants from the culinary world to join the campaign by creating specialty items, menus, and offers that benefit (RED). (RED) was founded in 2006 by U2's Bono and Bobby Shriver to engage businesses and people in the fight against AIDS. (RED) partners with brands that contribute up to 50% of profits from (RED)-branded goods and services to the Global Fund. To date, (RED) has generated more than $315 million. 100% of that money goes directly to work on the ground – no overhead is taken.
June's almost over, so I hope you'll visit your neighborhood Chipotle Mexican Grill this weekend. You can enjoy yummy personalized burritos, burrito bowls, and tacos -- and purchase these limited-edition gift cards too. It's a win-win scenario, really! Purchase (RED) gift cards, enjoy Chipotle's delicious non-GMO Mexican food, and help fight AIDS around the globe too!
Disclosure: Chipotle provided me with gift cards to visit my local restaurant. We sampled food and learned about the EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES Campaign. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
