It's That Time...Heading to Indy for Taste of the NFL!!!
Well, folks...it's finally here! I'm headed to the airport here in San Antonio at 430 in the morning to catch my 600 flight, and I've still got a few last items to pack up before I try to grab a few hours of sleep...but I wanted to pop by to say goodbye until Monday. My camera battery is charging, and my itinerary is safely tucked away in my Red Gold bright-red tote...which will be my way of celebrating the American Heart Association's National Wear Red day tomorrow!
I'm so excited to meet my fellow blog winners in person after chatting via Facebook and Twitter the past couple of weeks!! Tomorrow, we'll meet and get settled in...then we're going to a group dinner hosted by Red Gold. We'll be visiting the Red Gold facilities on Saturday morning, then Saturday evening is Taste of the NFL. Then on Sunday morning, the wonderful Liz from That Skinny Chick Can Bake is meeting us at our hotel to have breakfast!! Her blog is one of my favorites, so I'm really excited to meet her in person.
I've got one other bit of news to share...I found out this morning that I'm going to be appearing on Great Day SA, a local morning television program that airs on our CBS affiliate! I'll be interviewed about my trip to Indianapolis, and I'll be preparing my Kitchen Sink Jambalaya live on the air. I'm still pinching myself about receiving such a fantastic opportunity! It's about time I put my RTVF degree to use after being out of the media for many years. Back in college, I was a News Director and a Public Affairs Director for my college radio stations.
So...it's time for me to eat a slice or two of pizza, grab a shower, and toss a few last-minute items in my bag. I'll be back on Monday with details of the trip...and I've got a really really fun giveaway next week that ties in perfectly with Valentines. Can you say...gourmet chocolate?!?!? If you haven't entered my Gourmet Texas Pasta giveaway below, you've still got time. Since I'm headed out of town, I decided to accept entries until Sunday evening. This pasta is seriously awesome, so I hope all of you enter!
With that, I'm outta here...see you all on Monday. Except Liz...I'll see you on Sunday!!
