Sleepover Foods #SundaySupper...Featuring Fluffernutter Puff Pastry Turnovers
This week, #SundaySupper is having a sleepover! Our hostess is Marion of Life Tastes Good. She asked us to share our favorite sleepover-worthy recipes. Granted...my sleepover days were several decades ago. However, some things never change. All you need for a fun sleepover is good friends, a funny movie, colorful lip gloss, sparkly nail polish...and an amazing sweet treat! One of my favorite sandwiches as a kid was a fluffernutter: peanut butter and marshmallow fluff on soft white bread. This sweet sandwich was the inspiration for my Fluffernutter Puff Pastry Turnovers.
With just five ingredients -- including easy and convenient puff pastry -- these decadent sweet treats are a snap to make! I added some white chocolate to the filling to up the ante just a bit...and then drizzled a combination of white chocolate and more peanut butter on top. These amazing fluffernutter turnovers would be a welcome addition at any sleepover!

Fluffernutter Puff Pastry Turnovers
a Weekend Gourmet Original
Ingredients (makes four large turnovers):- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 tbs. + 1 tbs. creamy peanut butter
- 4 tbs. marshmallow fluff
- 4 ounces white chocolate
- Sparkly white sanding sugar
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the puff pastry on top of the parchment and cut into four even squares. Top each puff pastry square with 1 tbs. of peanut butter, 1 tbs. marshmallow fluff, and a small piece of white chocolate. Use a fork to swirl the ingredients just a bit.
Step 2: Fold the top half of each puff pastry over the filling, forming a triangle. Use the fork to press the edges firmly together from end to end. Brush the turnovers with water and sprinkle with the sparkly sanding sugar.
Step 3: Bake the turnovers until they're golden brown and puffed -- approximately 12 minutes. Rotate the pan halfway through to ensure even browning. While the turnovers bake, make the drizzle. Add the remaining white chocolate and 1 tbs. peanut butter to a small bowl. Microwave at 1-minute intervals, stirring until the white chocolate is melted and smooth. Place a small plastic zip bag into a glass. Pour the white chocolate drizzle into the bag and seal, pressing out any air pockets.
Step 4: When the turnovers are baked, let them cool for 5 minutes. Use scissors to snip the corner of the plastic bag. Squeeze a generous amount of the white chocolate-peanut butter drizzle on top of each turnover. To quick-set the drizzle, place the turnovers in the fridge for 10 minutes.
Y'all...one bite of these turnovers transported me back to my childhood! The flaky puff pastry has a generous amount of earthy peanut butter and sweet, gooey marshmallow fluff. The added sweet punch of melted white chocolate was a nice bonus. The drizzle takes these turnover over the top, though. It's sweet, with a nice punch of peanut butter flavor. Kids of all ages are sure to go crazy for these fun snacks! I hope you'll give them a try soon...and that you'll click the links to check out all of the other amazing Sleepover Food recipes this week's #SundaySupper participants are sharing.
