June Baking Challenge
A new month and a new challenge recipe to celebrate the upcoming summer season! If you’re new to the monthly baking challenges, let’s review:
MONTHLY BAKING CHALLENGE
- On or around the 1st of every month, I post a new recipe complete with a how-to video, plenty of tips, tricks, and photos.
- I want you to bake the recipe yourself during that month, then come back and tell me how it went!
- Share your photos throughout the month using #sallysbakingchallenge on Instagram or email me, tweet me, or upload a photo of your recipe to my Facebook page. I want you all involved!
- If you don’t like a particular flavor in that month’s recipe, there is an alternate Monthly Baking Challenge recipe.
LOOKING BACK ON MAY
May Baking Challenge recipe: Classic Cheesecake
The May 2018 baking challenge was a lot like the March 2018 baking challenge. I provided you with a basic recipe but put the creativity in YOUR hands. You filled, garnished, and served cheesecake many different ways and I’m floored with your presentations. Oh my gosh the flavors!!! Key lime cheesecake, white chocolate blueberry cheesecake, mint Oreo cheesecake, salted caramel turtle cheesecake, raspberry lime cheesecake, and so many more! My mind is racing with which one I’ll try first.
Take a look at some of your photos on Instagram. And here’s a bunch that are either there, sent to me, posted on my Facebook page, or in my Facebook group. SO MUCH CREAM CHEESE!

JUNE BAKING CHALLENGE
June’s Baking Challenge is Brownie Baked Alaska with a brownie base and toasted + creamy marshmallow meringue topping!!! I approached baked Alaska in a completely unconventional way, preparing both a large brownie baked Alaska for a big group and mini brownie baked Alaskas for a smaller setting. Along with the recipe and video tutorial, I will teach you how to torch your baked Alaskas with a kitchen torch (here is the kitchen torch I own and highly recommend) or use the baked option. Lots coming tomorrow, so get your favorite flavor ice cream ready!

Everyone who participates in the June Baking Challenge and shares their photo on my Facebook page, in my Facebook group, emails it to me, or your public Instagram account using the hashtag #sallysbakingchallenge is automatically entered. My assistants and I will keep track of your photos and randomly select a winner at the end of the month!
