Bacon Gravy
Are you ready to have your holidays completely changed? Christmas and Thanksgiving will never be the same. You see, there is something magical I’m sharing with you today. Bacon gravy. You read that correctly, I’m saying that a glorious thing called bacon gravy really exists. It’s like liquid bacon that you can pour over your meat and potatoes. Dreams really do come true! This gravy is easy to make and can be made ahead and re-heated in a saucepan just before serving. This is sure to become a favorite around your holiday table.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion diced
- 6 strips bacon diced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 1/2 cups chicken broth
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in onion and saute about 5 minutes. Add in bacon and saute another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in paprika and let it heat for about 1 minute, just enough to release its flavor.
- Stir in cornstarch until no more white specks appear. Pour in chicken broth and heat to a simmer. Continue simmering 5 minutes and let liquid thicken.
- Pour all contents of the saucepan into a blender and blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, or store in an airtight container and re-heat in a saucepan when ready to serve.
