Green Detox Smoothie
This green detox smoothie makes a great breakfast or healthy snack to help you get back on track! Add in some greek yogurt or a scoop of protein powder for a complete and healthy meal.
So how was everyone’s Labor Day weekend? Ours was pretty low key, just the way I like it! Maybe it’s just me, but long weekends tend to mean more food and drinks. I definitely can’t complain, I mean hellloooo I love food! But sometimes after a long weekend full of food and drinks, all I really crave is something healthy and green. That’s why I love this green detox smoothie, it’s full of good for you ingredients and tastes delicious!
I remember the first time I added spinach to a smoothie, I was kind of freaked out by the color. But after my first sip, I was sold! I can assure you that you can’t taste the spinach in this smoothie at all. To be honest, spinach doesn’t have much of a taste anyways. The frozen banana in this smoothie helps to mask the spinach and adds a creamy texture. This smoothie also has pineapple as well. I love adding pineapple to my green smoothies because it helps to prevent bloating and aids in digestion. We all need a little of that every now and then, right?
You can easily turn this smoothie into a meal by adding in some greek yogurt or a scoop of protein powder for a little more staying power. This smoothie can be whipped up in less than five minutes, making it an easy option for breakfast or a quick snack.
Plus you’re getting an extra serving of vegetables without even trying. #winning.
